Week's Tally: 19 miles

Still working slowly on our miles.  Georgia's longest long run is about 5 1/2.  We've run with The Ladies and the Fab5.  In both situations,  Georgia insists on being the lead dog... literally.  She gave The Fisherman a run for his money yesterday.  But sadly, we paid for it.  It was a hot day Sunday, and we didn't get started until 10:30ish.  That's a later start for Georgia.  And admittedly she went a little fast out of the gate.

The run ended with Georgia and I turning back finding any shady spot possible, and at one point I was asking a gardener for water because we were out!  Needless to say, we made it back to the car... drank all the water and relaxed in the (full forced) air conditioning my Mazda could pump out.  Today, she's limping a little and so this worried mom has decided to run solo for a few days until she's better.

With Crystal Cove Xterra coming up, we did a night of hill repeats (really only three repeats).  Yet, the hill climbs aren't quite getting my confidence ready for "I Think I Can" hill.

Oh well, a good week overall... this week will be recovery.  I'll have lower miles anyway.  I'm heading out Saturday to cheer on another Fab5 member as she becomes an Ironman in Arizona!

Here's to takin' it easy.
