This week's tally: 28 miles
And boy, was I tired! After finishing out Fontana Half on Saturday, I did a super easy recovery run around Mission Viejo lake on Sunday. Between the recovery run and a deep tissue massage with Ernie, my legs were feeling decent by Monday.
Tuesday the schedule called for a 7 miler. Despite a Running Partner's cancellation on me, I headed out on the Irvine portion of the Mountain to Sea Trail. It's about a mile from my work, so super convenient!
Wednesday... I was shot! Back-to-back Half Marathons and the training zapped my energy. So, even though XT was on the schedule, I opted to take a Day Off. In the long run, I know this will save me.
Thursday was Peter's Canyon Summer Trail Series. Legs felt like sandbags, but that's ok... I was there just to have fun. I didn't even wear my watch!
We will see how this week goes... I've just signed on for the biggest challenge yet. Nope, not another Ironman, Marathon or attempt at an Adventure Race. This weekend I adopted a pup. She can't run yet, but she's got runner's legs!
Anyway.... we will see if I can fit in training while also being a new mom!
