Georgia T. Quinn - a.k.a My Hiatus
For the last two months, I took a hiatus. Georgia T. came into my life and I couldn't be happier!
Instead of running my St George schedule, I was: waking up every 3 hours to take her outside to "relieve" herself, rushing home to bond with her, train her or, simply just taking some rest because I had a "baby".
My schedule became secondary. I do not regret it. Likewise, I'm not worried.
Instead I changed both my schedule and my goal for the race. Originally St. George promised a PR (it's mostly down hill), but now it's a check on my bucket list (I've always wanted to do this race because it's beautiful).
Hey, I recognize what's important. The healthy upbringing of my girl, and a smart approach to my running.
At the end of the day, I hope she'll be a running partner. I'm already proud she ran 3 miles along Mission Viejo Lake with The Ladies!
... then again, be careful what you wish for!
